As an artist, teacher and explorer of the body in motion and in relation, Isabelle develops work that reclaims the body at the center of the experience and plays with the alchemy and power of togertheness.
Since 1999, she has been involved in contact improvisation and instant composition practices, and is works with various art structures or schools in France and abroad. In 2005, she founded the Chorescence association in Grenoble, which quickly became a key place for improvised dance. As a dancer, moving singer and performer, she now creates participative pieces that explore the musicality of the body and its relationship to time.
After 5 years of medical studies, Isabelle obtained a Master’s degree in Performing Arts. She is nourished by a very eclectic training in which singing and somatic approaches, yoga and Authentic Movement as well as her experience of Lisa Nelson’s Tuning Score play a key role. Breathing is the anchor of her teaching.
